WINTER Menu 12/1/2008 to 2/28/2009

                      Our Seasonal Selections -  Preassembled in our Freezer

Rogan Josh - an Indian Pork Curry dish served over Basmati Rice - tasty, flavorful but not hot (you can add heat to it if you wish).  Not made with store bought curry powder - we mix our own spice mix for this and it's soooo tasty!  (Pre-cooked, just thaw and heat - plastic microwaveable container.)

Fettuchini and Roasted Red Pepper Carbonara - a take off on a popular Italian Dish - we've left out the Peas in the original version of Pasta Carbonara and added Roasted Red Pepper strips - we left in the Bacon (who doesn't like bacon?) and we use our own, homemade Alfredo Sauce - Yummy!  ( Dinner Kit - Plastic Bag)

Grande Meatballs  - Our large meatballs paired with pasta and sauce.  Simply boil the pasta, bake the meatballs, pour on the sauce and you have a family pleasing entree!  (Dinner kit -  Foil Pan and plastic bags)

Thai Pineapple Chicken - If you like Thai food, you'll love this.  We don't make it hot but we do make it flavorful.  Served over Basmati Rice, we're bringing this dish back because we've had so many requests for it.  (Pre-cooked, just thaw and heat - plastic microwaveable container.)

Roasted Almond Tilapia - Tasty tilapia fillets seasoned and topped with panko and almonds.  Accompanied by vegetables that cook right along with the Tilapia, this will become a low fat, low carb favorite!  (Casserole - foil pan)

Curry Chick Pea Casserole - A vegetarian main dish chock full of chick peas (garbanzo beans), rice, potatoes and some apple for a uniqe flavor - enhanced with coconut milk, curry, ginger and cumin.  If you love Indian food, you'll like this.  (Casserole - foil pan)

CASSEROLES - just defrost, bake and enjoy.  Cleanup is as easy, just toss the foil pan in the trash!

Apple and Cheese Stuffed French Toast- (Veg) Slices of bread sandwiches a spiced cream cheese and apple filling.  Bake and Enjoy

Cheese Ravioli Florentine in Marinara(Veg)  Cheese filled pasta pillows on a bed of seasoned sautéed spinach– low fat, healty and oh, so tasty!

Chicken Pot Pie Back by popular demand - Tender chunks of Chicken teamed with carrots, onions, potatoes and peas in a creamy sauce topped with puff pastry – delish! 

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Bake – Almost like a quiche – we use cubes of ham, green pepper, onion, mushrooms and cheese in an egg base.  Fabulous for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner – so versatile.  Great for weekend guests!

Ham and Potato Bake Au Gratin – Chunks of Ham and Potatoes in a cream sauce laced with cheese – a family favorite!

La Bomba Casserole –.A southwestern treat in a casserole dish!  Layers of lean ground beef, refried beans, corn, tomatoes, spices all on a bed of corn chips – your family will love this one!

Mom’s Meatloaf (Beef or Turkey) An old fashioned beef meatloaf just like Mom used to make. Nothing exotic - very Kid friendly with a touch of sweetness. Make tasty sandwiches with leftovers - if there are any!

Spinach and Mushroom Breakfast Bake(Veg)  Meatless but so tasty!  Creamed Spinach, onion, mushrooms and  cheese in an egg base.

White Vegetarian Lasagna(Veg)  Not like any lasagna you’ve had before.  A filling of 3 cheeses laced with artichoke hearts and sundried tomatoes and mushrooms topped with creamy Alfredo sauce – decadent! 

Zippy Ziti Casserole – Tender Ziti Pasta mixed with cheeses, spices and topped with Crumbled Italian Sausage and Marinara – Yummy!

DINNER KIT - requires some cooking (saute' meat/cook pasta or rice, etc.) - just follow directions - everything is included - in zipper lock bags or foil containers. 

Apricot Chili Glazed Pork Chops -  A yummy dish with a little kick of spice (from the Asian Chili sauce) –a great dinner for guests or the family.                                                                                                                                                                                                            

Caramel Apple Pork Loin  Pork Loin slices quick cooked then topped with a caramel apple topping - yummy! Sure to please your pickiest eater.                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Chicken Broccoli Alfredo -  Sautéed Marinated chicken topped with alfredo sauce and served with linguini and broccoli – oh, so good.  (If you want this as a vegetarian entrée, order ahead and let us know – we’ll remove the chicken and add in some mushrooms and zucchini )– delicious

Chicken Cordon Bleu  – You’ll look forward to supper when this is on the menu!  Chicken Breasts stuffed with ham and swiss cheese – you roll in egg and breadcrumbs (included) just before baking – comes with Herb Blend Long Grain and Wild Rice. 

Chicken in Mustard Tarragon Cream Sauce - Chicken chunks in a creamy mustard-tarragon sauce. Serve over rice (included) or noodles and you have a tasty treat!  We keep getting requests for this one so we’re keeping it around for you because you love it

Lemony Chicken Picatta - Boneless Chicken Breast sautéed in a light lemony sauce, accented with fresh lemon slices and capers.  Angel-Hair Pasta is a perfect side-dish.                                                                                                                                      

Louisiana Style Shrimp Creole- Tasty shrimp in a tomato based sauce with veggies and Cajun seasoning.  Serve over rice (included) for a quick supper

Stuffed Green Bell Peppers Green peppers stuffed with ground beef, rice and spices, top off with some tomato sauce. This is real comfort food!

Fully Cooked Entrees – Thaw, Heat and Eat!  (no prep required – can heat from frozen) Plastic, Microwaveable container.

Chicken in Romano Cream Sauce – Chunks of chicken in a rich romano cheese sauce served over curly noodles. Simple but tasty – Kid friendly! 

Italian Sausage, Peppers and Onions - We get authentic, Italian Sausage. You put it together with pepper and onion strips in a savory marinara sauce. Great over pasta or in sandwiches.

Mama’s Spaghetti and Meat Sauce – Cooked Spaghetti topped with our rich Bolognaise Sauce and sprinkled with shredded Romano Cheese.

Macaroni and Cheese with Ham – Elbow macaroni drenched in our own rich cheese sauce and topped with chunks of ham.  Order ahead and we can make it for you without the ham for a vegetarian dish.

Asian Cucumber Salad  Cucumbers thinly sliced and soaked in our own marinade. Great with sandwiches or as dinner side.                                                  1/2 Pint. $3.00

Creamed Spinach  Our own recipe. This tasty creamed spinach would make even Popeye stand up and cheer. Just heat & eat.                                           Half pint. $3.00

Garlic Mashed Potatoes  We use redskin potatoes with the skin on and add butter, cream and garlic!  Yum!                                                                      1 Pint (1#)  $3.00

Cuban Black Beans Made by our resident Cuban. These black beans are a tasty side by themselves or over rice. Pecan and Walnut Crusted Sweet Potatos  -  Whipped sweet potatoes with butter, eggs, sugar and spices, topped with Pecans & Walnuts - a great side that some customers have said is good enough for dessert.                                                       Small - $3.00  Large - $6.00


Dilly Potato Salad  Our version of potato salad, simple but tasty with lots of dill.                                      Pint - $3.00

      SOUP BY THE QUART - $6.50 each

Ham and Bean Soup  White beans, a ham bone and root vegetables simmered for hours.  A tasty lunch or light dinner.

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Bring home a quart of The Diva's Own Home Made Chicken Noodle Soup. Chunks of tender chicken in a savory broth with carrots, onions, celery and noodles. A real kid pleaser and it's great for lunch or a lite supper

 Leek and Potato  A puree full of vegetables - we don't peel the redskin potatoes in this soup so you get all the nutritional benefit yet this tasty soup is low in fat, high in fiber. Makes a great lunch or light dinner.  Vegetarian

Pasta Fagioli   Pasta and Beans in a savory tomato based broth with onion and herbs. Try it and it will become one of your favorites.  Vegetarian

Savory Split Pea and Ham  Very thick and satisfying – an oldie but a goodie – Split peas simmered with ham hocks, vegetables and broth
